Requesting Media with Seerr

What is Seerr?

Seerr (Jellyseerr) is a request management tool. If a film or TV show isn't already in the library, you can search for it and request it. Once approved, it'll be automatically downloaded and added to Jellyfin, usually within minutes.

How to Request

1. Sign in to Seerr

   Use the same credentials you use for Jellyfin. Click "Sign in with Jellyfin" on the Seerr login page.

2. Search for content

   Use the search bar at the top to find the movie or TV show you want. Seerr searches across multiple databases to find exactly what you're after.

3. Request it

   Click on the result and hit the "Request" button. For TV shows, you can request specific seasons or the entire series.

4. Wait for it

   Your request will be automatically processed. Movies usually appear within 10-30 minutes. TV shows can take a bit longer depending on availability.

5. Watch it

   Once downloaded, the content appears in Jellyfin automatically. No refresh needed, just search for it and press play.

Tips

• Everyone can make unlimited requests - no caps on any tier
• If something isn't available, it might be too new or too obscure. Give it a few days and try again
• Already in the library? No need to request - just watch it directly in Jellyfin
• Seerr shows the status of your requests so you can track what's been downloaded
